Motivations

So due to an extreme schedule and other unplanned events, I fell behind in one class. I have been trying to get caught up but it only go as fast as my other classes, my 5 blogs, my work and my personal life allow it to go. I know, soon, I will get back on track and up-to-date with everything but it requires in average 2 nights awake per week.

This is exactly what brought me to ask myself why?! I could easily stop caring and enjoy the rest of my time here at BYU! This father could easily walk away from this unfulfilling job or insulting boss! Or even we, as future professionals, could give up on ethics and do what profits us! The truth is that we can't.

As human beings, we have responsibilities towards each other and ourselves. Call it a sense of duty or morals but I myself rather call it MOTIVATION. It is the desire to fully benefit from my education and my tuition money that motivates me to spend nights awake. It is the knowledge that his family depends on him for food that keeps this father from quitting and moving on. It is our desire to be decent human beings that motivates us to stick to our ethics.

Unfortunately, not everyone's motivational factor is honorable. Ask Osama Bin Laden what he thinks on the subject and you will understand what I am talking about.

My point is that as a rule of thumb, always make sure your actions and mines too are being influenced by the right reasons and that we have good motivations for doing things. It's not because you're feeling great that your actions are not making someone else feel miserable.

Till later everyone and try to stay motivated to do the right thing and not the easy one,
